Until recently, many computer programs were written to denote the year in two digits instead of four. In these programs, the year 2000 will be indicated as "00". Because the system
may confuse "00" to signify the year 1900 instead of the year 2000, some computers may malfunction. The same holds true for some types of machinery and office equipment that contain microcomputer chips.
Eduware recognizes the urgency of this problem and is making every effort to ensure the reliability of all of our products as well as our internal computer systems after the year 2000. We want our customers to use Eduware products
without anxiety and our business partners to feel assured that our relationship will not be interrupted.
An investigation of our products for year 2000 readiness has revealed that we are compliant for use in the new
millenium. An investigation of our internal computer systems shows that our computer systems here are all Y2K compliant.
We are firm in our belief that the year 2000 problem should not have any critical impact
on our products or internal systems. But as there is a possibility of unforeseen problems, especially external, we will continue to make every effort to test for compliance and establish appropriate emergency measures.
Your understanding and cooperation would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, William Stevens Physics Teacher President Eduware, Inc. |
